Raiders have struck at a jewellery store in Brighouse.
It is believed the smash and grab thieves attacked the shop in Commercial Road about 5pm.
A window at the side of the door was shattered in the raid.
Police are at the scene and have sealed off the road through the heart of Brighouse.
Detectives are carrying out detailed inquiries in the area.
The West Yorkshire Police helicopter has also joined the hunt and is believed to be looking for a car used by the raiders.
No-one is thought to have been hurt in the raid at Neimantas Jewellers.
It is not the first time the shop has been targeted - in 2012 robbers armed with a sledgehammer attacked the shop.
