MODEL Nell McAndrew has joined bands including The Barbs, The Others, Jet Plane Landing and Hope of the States to support a charity campaign.

Shelter, a charity for the homeless, is selling sweatbands in aid of its Million Children Campaign.

The £4 sweatbands are a rich red, with the new H for Shelter logo.

They are in boxes that contain an insert about the campaign.

They are available online at www.Shelter. org.uk/publications

Nell, who plans to marry Huddersfield boyfriend Paul Hardcastle at Christmas, has been seen sporting her sweatband in London.

A Shelter spokesperson said: "Celebrities, such as The Others and Nell, have been fantastic in helping us to spread our message that there are more than 1m children in Britain suffering in bad housing.

"These children are having their health, education and prospects damaged by terrible housing."

Shelter believes everyone should have a home. It helps 100,000 people a year fight for their rights, get back on their feet and find and keep a home.

It also tackles the root causes of Britain's housing crisis by campaigning for new laws, policies and solutions.
