NELL McAndrew is causing a splash in order to raise £2m for a children's charity.

The Yorkshire model, who is married to Huddersfield-born property developer Paul Hardcastle, is supporting the Butlins Swimathon 2005.

She's appealing for people across the UK to join her in the world's largest swimming fundraiser for the children's charity NCH.

The Butlins swimathon is aiming to get 30,000 people to swim in one of 500 participating pools across Britain during the 19th to 27th of March.

NCH will receive 70% of the money raised, which will help fund over 500 centres throughout the UK, providing support for disabled children, fostering and adoption, and care for vulnerable families.

The Swimathon Foundation will distribute the remaining 30% to smaller, local charities.

Nell, 31, said: "NCH is one of my favourite charities because it helps the most vulnerable children in our society.

"I'm thrilled to be supporting Butlins Swimathon 2005 and urge everyone out there to join in."
