OFFICE worker Duncan Troughton is no couch potato!
And to prove it the 41-year-old sales manager hopes to run 40 miles and raise £1,000 for Sports Relief.
Duncan, who lives in Netherton with his wife Cristina, will be taking in four West Yorkshire sports stadiums on route during the event on Friday, March 19.
He sets off from the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield around 9.30am and hopes to run to the Shay Stadium in Halifax, followed by Valley Parade in Bradford and onto Elland Road in Leeds before returning to the Galpharm.
“I am not looking for speed but rather to complete the course, so endurance will be the key, especially as I will be doing the run alone,” said Duncan.
“I’ve worked in an office for years and decided to get fit last summer. I have run a marathon before, but that was year’s ago when I was 15. I’m training every day but my main aim is to finish the course.”
