TRAIN operators running services through Huddersfield have improved their time-keeping.
Figures from Network Rail showed that First Transpennine Express and Northern Rail both recorded improvements in punctuality last month compared with March last year.
First Transpennine Express achieved 96% punctuality compared with 94.3% before while Northern Rail improved its trains-on-time figure marginally to 93.7% from 93.6%.
Nationally, rail punctuality improved during March – with all companies exceeding a trains-on-time figure of 90%.
