New-born Alfie John Williams is fifth generation of Slaithwaite family

LITTLE new-born baby Alfie John Williams is a bundle of joy for his relatives.

But there’s even more reason for them to celebrate as little Alfie makes it five generations of the Slaithwaite family.

Grandma Deborah Roberts, right, took a flight over from Spain – where she now lives – after hearing the good news.

Alfie was born on Tuesday, July 19, weighing 6lbs 9oz.

Judith told the Examiner the women toasted Alfie’s arrival with a bottle of champagne.

And there were even more bubbles to be had when, after hearing the good news, the landlord of the Bull’s Head, in Linthwaite, filled their champagne flutes for another toast.
