A NEW health centre is to open in Holmfirth on Monday.
Patients of Drs Clayden, Shamsee and Associates - now based at Elmwood Health Centre - are moving to the new practice next door.
The newly-built Oaklands Health Centre on Huddersfield Road will provide 7,000 patients with a range of modern healthcare facilities.
The centre boasts 11 consulting rooms for GPs and nursing staff.
It also includes a minor surgery room and office space on the first floor.
Practice manager Duncan Millar said: "We simply ran out of space in the other building, where we only had four rooms and one nurse treatment room.
"Now, we will have on-site facilities for physiotherapy and blood-testing.
"And the new medical equipment will enhance medical examinations."
The new centre will be up and running from Monday.
It will keep its present phone number.
Mr Millar added: "All patients have been informed of the move and signs will be going up this week.
"It is literally next door, so it will be easy to find."
