A STUDENT is setting up a new group at the University of Huddersfield showcasing Chinese culture.
Tony Chen (right), a third year music student, has formed an organi-sation called Journey to the East.
He said: “Western people don’t know the true sense of traditional culture because the Chinese government just keeps the entertainment part without talking about values and virtues.
“This might be the first group of its kind in the UK which is independent of the Chinese communist government.
“I want to show people the real China.”
Tony, 26, plans to show a series of films from next month about traditional dance, food and music.
