THESE two pups were found chained to a tree at Kirkheaton.
They are now being kept at Marina Kennels, Huddersfield, and staff hope to find them loving new homes.
The dogs were found on Thursday morning by a local man walking on a track off Cockley Hill Lane.
He said: "I heard both dogs barking and yelping and saw them fastened to the tree. There was a chain from one to the other and then to the tree. It meant they could hardly move.
"There was no-one with them and no sign of who had left them."
Natalie Kelly, of the kennels, which are off Leeds Road, said: "Both dogs look about eight months old and are probably from the same litter.
"They look like labrador-bull terrier crosses and I think someone probably didn't realise how big they would grow. But they don't appear to have been ill-treated.
"They will have to have separate homes as I think the pair would be too much for one person."
