MOVING home can be stressful enough.

But moving house and having a baby in the space of a few hours is particularly challenging.

However, that's what happened to Noreen Kiani, when baby Amilia arrived within hours of her and husband Ash receiving the keys to their new home at Weavers Gate, Cleckheaton.

The couple began moving from their house in nearby Heckmondwike just as Noreen started to get twinges.

She continued to help, before eventually going to stay with relatives while Ash carried on the move into the small hours.

Noreen was taken to hospital and Amilia was born the next day - two weeks early.

Ash described the experience as nightmarish.

"You just have to get on with it, but the timing was awful.

"We had to move out of our old home because someone else was moving in - and we've got three other children to look after, too."

In spite of the chaos, Ash still managed to be there for the birth of his daughter.

The family are now settling into their four-bedroom home on Upper Carr Street.

"It's a lovely house and a nice location. We just got off to a very stressful start," said Ash.

And baby Amilia will soon have a new playmate close by in the shape of another early arrival - Joshua Hepworth, whose appearance scuppered his mum Helen's plan to see her new house for the first time.

"Joshua arrived three weeks early and we'd made an appointment that week to go and see the house which we'd bought straight from the plans," said Helen.

"I was obviously otherwise engaged and still haven't had a chance to see it. But my husband, Mark, kept the appointment," she added.

Helen and Mark have now exchanged contracts on their three-storey town house and hope to move from their home at Cleckheaton in the next few weeks.
