TOP councillors have approved a plan to revitalise a Kirklees town.
Dewsbury Plus was endorsed by the council’s Cabinet.
The masterplan includes redevelopment of the town’s college and market, as well as Pioneer House, a large listed building which will become a mix of housing and commercial properties.
Clr Khizar Iqbal, who represents Dewsbury South, welcomed the plan. He said: “I’m pleased that our Conservative administration is going ahead with this. Dewsbury has been neglected for many years.
“These are exciting times and I hope Dewsbury will get the regeneration it deserves.”
