HUDDERSFIELD’S new monthly Sunday market is to launch on March 10 – and there will be a car boot sale next to it.

Sited at the open market on Brook Street, it will take place on the second Sunday of each month.

It will offer something for everyone with handmade crafts, locally-produced food, antiques, collectibles, fashion and lots more. It will be open from 10am – 4.30pm.

Stallholders must pre-book to attend the market and application forms are available by contacting markets@kirklees.gov.uk or 01484 223730.

A car boot sale will take place alongside the market on the car park. This will be open between 8am and 2pm and is open to anyone with second-hand items only.

This will be £10 per car and those wanting to take part as sellers can just turn up from 7am on the day.

The launch event is on Mothers’ Day and there will be treats in store for all shoppers including entertainment from the Bread and Butter Theatre group, free face-painting and free truffle-making classes from the Ministry of Chocolate.
