New Year motorway roadworks have been revealed.

Four lots of temporary schemes near Kirklees will be put in place in early January.

However, all will take place overnight to minimise disruption.

At junction 26 on the M62 at Bradford (M606 interchange) there will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in autumn 2016

The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from January 4 for five nights.

From junction 27 Gildersome to Junction 1 the westbound side of the carriageway will also be fully closed for bridge works for five nights from Monday 4 January.

The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes

At junction 27 in the opposite direction the eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for technology works on January 6 between the same times with diversion routes.

And on the M1 at junction 39 Denby Dale to junction 40 at the same times, the northbound carriageway will be closed for three nights from January 7.

The southbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 41 and 42 overnight for three nights from January 4.

All closures are for smart motorways works and diversions will again be in place.
