HUDDERSFIELD Giants fans Darren and Jean Chappell are seen toasting their nuptials yesterday, along with 4,000 other spectators - and the players - at the McAlpine Stadium!
The couple, from South Crosland, were married yesterday afternoon at The Rock Inn at Holywell Green.
But the reception had to be put on hold as there was the little matter of the Giants v Widnes.
The bride, bridegroom, bridesmaids and guests piled into a coach to be whisked to the stadium for the game, which kicked off at 5.30pm.
And Giants officials laid on two executive boxes, so the party could enjoy the game in style.
After the match, it was back to The Rock for the rest of the wedding celebrations.
Darren, 38, first went to watch the old Fartown side in the late 60s, with dad Trevor and mum Beryl.
Jean, 47, started watching with Darren after they met four years ago.
"When we planned the date we expected the Giants would be playing on either the Friday or Saturday", said Darren. "When we found out it was on the Sunday, we decided to combine both. It was a wedding with a difference."
