A TALKING newspaper for blind and visually impaired people has celebrated its 750th edition.
The KR Talking News is a ‘newsletter’ recorded on to cassette and CD.
The 30-year-old fortnightly service, recorded by Kirklees Council’s Culture and Leisure Services, is given free to blind and visually impaired people, carrying news from the Examiner and other media, interviews and features.
A celebration was attended by Kirklees Mayor Clr Julie Stewart-Turner and representatives from local societies for visually impaired people.
KR Talking News has a customised digital recording studio in Huddersfield Town Hall.
