A PENSIONER has appeared in court charged with possessing indecent images of children.

Peter Davies, of St John’s Avenue in Newsome, was before Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday. The 75-year-old faces eight charges of having in his possession an indecent picture of a child engaged in sexual activity with an adult.

He is further charged with possessing an extreme pornographic image of a person performing a sex act on a live animal, a dog.

The charges are dated between July 12, 2004, and October 9, 2010.

Davies also faces one allegation of having possession of a stun gun at Gledholt Bank, Gledholt, on October 9 last year.

His case was committed to Bradford Crown Court for trial on November 28.
