A WOMAN who shouted and swore police after drinking has appeared in court.
Kerry Burgin, 25, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Huddersfield magistrates were told that she was arrested on Burfitts Road, Quarmby, on November 28.
She had been trying to wave down a taxi to take her home but the driver had refused because of her state.
Burgin, of Nunnington Street in Armley, Leeds, then became upset.
She started shouting and swearing at police and was arrested when she continued to be abusive.
Burgin spent the night in the cells after failing to attend on her original court date.
Magistrates ordered her to keep the peace for six months to the sum of £50.
