POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 19- year-old man was robbed in Huddersfield town centre.

The incident happened on St George’s Street between 9.30pm and 10.07pm on Wednesday as the man was walking through the centre of town towards the bus station.

As he did he was approached by two men.

The first man pushed him against the wall and demanded property from him before hitting him. The second man then hit him twice as the first one took property from him.

The two men officers want to speak to in connection with the incident are described as black, aged about 20, about 6ft tall and dressed in dark clothing.
