TWO Huddersfield residents are celebrating a big win on hit TV quiz The Million Pound Drop.
Ash and James, both 22, from Highburton, took home £100,000 after appearing on the Channel 4 show hosted by Davina McCall last Friday.
The win is one of the biggest in the show’s history but the duo, who are known to be former Shelley College and Kirkburton Middle School pupils, have declined any publicity and have not been officially named. Comments on the show’s official Facebook page included, ‘finally some people with brains’ and ‘glad they won, nice lads!’ But some comments claimed Channel 4 had got the answer to their last question wrong and the pair should have won nothing.
One person said: "Will be interesting to see what Channel 4 do about it, though I doubt they would take the money off the lads now – nor would I want them to – but it would be nice for them to acknowledge the mistake."
