A SHOPKEEPER thwarted a raid after finding men preparing to wreck the shop's shutters with a car in the early hours.
He was woken at 3.45am yesterday after hearing a banging noise at the Spar store at Barnsley Road, Flockton.
He looked out of his window and saw two men attaching a rope to the store's shutters and a dark Volkswagen car reversing into position to be attached to it.
He shouted at the men, described as young looking, and they fled.
