BIN collections in Kirklees will operate as normal over the May Day holiday.
Householders are asked to remember to put out their bins by 7am on their normal collection day.
Household waste and recycling centres will also be open as normal.
Residents are asked to remember to take along their residents' permits.
They are also asked to sort their waste before leaving home as this will reduce queueing times on site and help to improve recycling.
People taking garden waste for composting should remove all materials from bin liners before they go into the garden waste skip.
Non-compostable items, such as plastic sacks and plant pots for example, should not be put into this skip.
