AN OAKES woman whose jewellery was stolen when her house was burgled has had the last laugh.
Her house, at Heyfield Avenue, was burgled on February 4.
The victim was so upset she scoured pawn shops around the town in the hope of finding her jewellery.
It was eventually recovered by Albemarle & Bond Pawnbrokers at John William Street.
A 45-year-old woman and man aged 44, of Weymouth Avenue, Oakes, have been arrested.
Police also seized more items from their house.
