A HOLMFIRTH pensioner was targeted by two men who conned their way into his home and robbed him.
The 76-year-old had just received a takeaway when a man knocked on the door and said he was the owner and was checking the delivery.
Unbeknown to the pensioner, another man sneaked into his house, went upstairs and stole a safe which police say was empty.
The incident happened at Back Lane in Holmfirth at around 6.30pm last night, Thursday.
Police are looking for two white men, one aged 40 to 45 years old, of medium build with short brown hair. The other wore a white baseball cap.
They made off towards Station Road shortly afterwards.
