A FATHER of Huddersfield quads died suddenly at his home in Lanzarote.
Peter Longbottom was just 54.
He leaves his children, Neil, Matthew, Emma and Sarah, who are 23 next month, and wife Jenny.
In 1981, the four were the first quads to be born at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. Peter and Jenny - who had not had fertility treatment - lived in Linthwaite for many years and had a milk delivery business.
A funeral was held in Lanzarote and musician Matthew has already planned a benefit concert for the British Heart Foundation in his father's memory.
Matthew, of Linthwaite, rushed to Lanarote to be with his family.
He said: "Our dad died suddenly from a heart attack at only 54.
"Neil, Sarah and I got a plane and Emma came from Taiwan. She ended up on the same connecting flight as us from Barcelona.
"It was a nice surprise, as she's been away for the past eight months.
"We've had the funeral in Lanzarote and now the plan is for a memorial service in Huddersfield.
"It's going to be huge; he knew so many people."
Matthew, who performs with local band Firebrand, has arranged the charity gig for Friday, September 3, at Huddersfield's Gas Club.
Firebrand played a successful benefit for Cancer Research UK at the Gasworks Street club, off Leeds Road, Hillhouse, in February.
