Olympic Torch runner Dr Judith Hooper visited members of Friend to Friend at Kirkroyds School

OLYMPIC Torch runner Dr Judith Hooper visited members of Friend to Friend at Kirkroyds School, New Mill.

Dr Hooper, director of public health, NHS Kirklees, ran with the torch in Kexborough, South Yorkshire.

Friend to Friend, which provides companionship for isolated people, is weaving an Olympic themed ‘rag rug’, made from shredded T-shirts, with children from Kirkroyds School.
