She has appeared in top theatre shows across the country and Europe.

But singer Rhianydd Beaumont was more than happy to share her skills with a group of Huddersfield youngsters.

She took part in a full day Musical Theatre Singing Workshop at the Audrey Spencer School of Dance in Queen Street South.

The workshop was for boys and girls aged between 8 and 18 and ended with a performance for parents.

School owner Joanne Perkins said: “Working in age groups and as a whole chorus the children learned songs from The Lion King, Seussical the Musical and Rent.

“They learned about vocal harmonising as individuals and as a choir, and it was an inspirational day for the children to gain valuable singing skills and work as a group to perform stunning choreographed songs.”

Rhianydd Beaumont is a singing teacher and professional singer with an outstanding reputation and vast experience.

Her credits include Phantom of the Opera (National Tour), Carousel (Opera North), Beauty and the Beast (Disney, UK Tour), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Disney, Germany), Thursford Christmas Spectacular, The Sopranos (Icon Theatrical Ltd).

She is about to go on tour with the National Gilbert and Sullivan Society, performing Mikado, Pirates, Yeoman of the Guard and Sorcerer.
