A COUPLE are celebrating Christmas with their miracle baby twins.
And it was all down to the kindness of a friend who helped to pay for vital IVF treatment after winning a Huddersfield Town cash draw.
Adele and Kieron Tordoff, of Leeside Road, Heckmondwike, were overjoyed when Aimee and her brother, Charley, were born.
The couple had been trying for children for six years - including four failed attempts at IVF. The twins' safe arrival was the result of a fifth attempt at IVF, which was partly paid for by Kieron's old friend, Andy Oldham, 35, of Liversedge.
Andy and Kieron - both Town fans - had gone to a home match against Lincoln City in February.
Andy won £650 in the half-time draw and split the cash with Kieron.
Kieron, 36, and Adele, 28, had suffered their fourth IVF failure just three months earlier and had decided to wait a while before going through the emotional strain and expense again.
However, the windfall made them reconsider.
Adele said: "We decided to try again sooner than planned. Full IVF is around £3,500, but we had frozen embryos before so it only cost us around £1,500. The money from Andy was a big help to us.
"To end up with twins - a boy and a girl - is a dream come true. Christmas has been very different this year."
