A DALTON man has retired after 42 years with Remploy.

Stephen Rawnsley, 60, was presented with a cake and gifts, including a CD radio cassette player.

He joined the company as a teenager and over the years has worked in several departments, most recently in the packing section.

Remploy, which provides work for disabled people, employs about 80 staff at its factory at Tandem Industrial Estate, Waterloo, where it makes car headrests and armrests.
