TWO men arrested on suspicion of a large-scale drugs operation in Huddersfield are still on bail as enquires are ongoing.

Officers swooped on 23 premises in Huddersfield back in April after a large-scale operation to shut down three cannabis farms.

The raids also uncovered a counterfeit DVD operation at Moorside Avenue in Crosland Moor.

The cannabis factories contained 200 plants at properties on St John’s Road, Grasmere Road and Clare Hill.

Further raids were carried out in Blacker Road, Trinity Street, Eldon Road, Gledholt Road, Sunningdale Road and Moor End Road. Police confirmed a 29-year-old and 55-year-old who were arrested in connection with the raids are on bail until February.

A 40-year-old man was released without charge.
