A MAN helped prevent a major house blaze.
He rushed into a neighbour's unoccupied home to bring out a flaming pan after he smelled burning.
The fire was at about 10.15am yesterday at the end terraced home at Brick Bank, Almondbury.
Elland firefighters who attended the blaze said his quick actions prevented the fire from being far more serious.
