A GARDENER was dragged from a grass-cutting machine, attacked and robbed in a park.

The attack happened near the lake area of Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury.

The 27-year-old man, from Huddersfield, was treated at Dewsbury District Hospital.

He was on the grass- cutter when two men approached him. One punched him in the face.

The victim was dragged off his machine, assaulted again and demands were made for money, his mobile phone and keys to the grass-cutting machine.

His phone was stolen, but recovered nearby. An unsuccessful attempt was made to take the machine.

The man who punched the victim was white, 6ft and muscular. He was about 24, with short fair or brown hair and clean-shaven.
