COUNCILLORS have turned down a request for parking restrictions.
Twenty residents of Church View in Holmbridge signed a petition calling for permit parking.
They said walkers leave their vehicles in their 70-metre cul-de-sac all day.
Kirklees Council’s Cabinet yesterday backed highways officers who said permit parking could not be justified.
But Cabinet member for transport Clr Martyn Bolt said: “While the situation does not meet the criteria for further investigation by the council, it is something which Holme Valley South Area Committee could pursue.”
