ROCK fans have been handed parking advice for tonight's huge concert at the Galpharm Stadium.

Thousands are expected to flock to see Canadian rocker Bryan Adams and soul diva Beverley Knight.

But organisers have warned fans: Watch where you park.

Parking on the site will be extremely limited and drivers have been urged to park elsewhere.

The Town Avenue car park is closed to concert-goers, while only part of the Holset car park in St Andrew's Road will be available.

There will be a £5 charge for drivers who do manage to find a place.

Galpharm official Linda Myers said: "Our advice to concert-goers is to park elsewhere and either walk or take a taxi to the stadium.

"The Holset car park in St Andrew's Road will be open and obviously there are many parking areas in the town centre, which is only a few minutes from the stadium."

Stadium officials were today putting the finishing touches to their huge concert operation, which includes providing food and drink for the fans.

Food kiosks and bars will be open throughout the stadium, with sellers also touring the stands.

Headline act Bryan Adams is expected on stage about 9pm after a slot from Beverley Knight and Huddersfield-based support band Smooth.

The concert is expected to finish by 11pm.
