THE Kirklees Passport is now more widely available.

The Passport, which entitles holders to a wide range of savings, is now available from Skelmanthorpe and Birstall.

Any resident of Kirklees who is receiving certain benefits, has a disability or is a full- time student over 16 could be eligible for a Kirklees Passport.

It gives savings, which include sport and leisure activities, parking and environmental services.

Applications for a Kirklees Passport can still be made at the Kirklees information points at Civic Centre 1 in Huddersfield, Dewsbury Town Hall and Peel Street, Marsden.

But people can now also apply at the library and information centres on Commercial Road in Skelmanthorpe and Market Street, Birstall.

The cost of a Kirklees Passport is £3 or £2, depending on what benefits the person is receiving. It is half-price for children.

Anyone applying for one has to supply a passport photo.
