BIRCHENCLIFFE Cricket Club and grateful patient Violet Falkingham raised £300 between them for the Macmillan cancer support group at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Money was raised through a tombola at the club after the Macmillan group was made its charity of the year.
Violet, 63, from Birchencliffe, is in remission after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006.
She said: “Throughout my treatment at the Infirmary the Macmillan staff were superb.”
The cheque was presented by Violet to breast care specialist nurse Karen Hodgkinson. With her were her husband Richard and cricket club president Peter Clarkson.
She added: “The support I have received has been great. I always believe in being positive. You should live for today!”
