A Holmfirth man has admitted ignoring a ban on contacting his former partner.

Patrick Brown, of Field Road in Cinderhills, appeared before Kirklees Magistrates’ Court.

He pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of his non-molestation order.

The order was made last November and banned the 41-year-old from going to his ex’s home in Almondbury.

He was arrested after attending at the address on March 22.

The court was told that he went there with the initial consent with his former partner but she then changed her mind.

District Judge David Purcell sentenced Brown to a six-month community order with 10 days of rehabilitative activities.

Brown also has to pay £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.
