A MAN is in a critical condition after a road accident in Huddersfield early today. The 34-year-old, from Mirfield, was crossing Leeds Road, towards Ricky's Pub near Bradley Mills Road, at 1.20am. He was struck by a silver Citroen Saxo driven by a 33-year-old Fartown man. He was thrown about 10 feet and sustained serious head injuries. He is in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary The car driver was unhurt. A police spokeswoman said: "There were lots of people around and we have spoken to people who saw what happened before the collision.
