A ROBBERY gang threatened a teenager with a penknife before stealing his wallet.

Four youths walked up behind the 17-year-old at Threadneedle Street in Huddersfield town centre between 2.50pm and 3.30pm on Friday.

They hit him in the back then punched him in the face before searching his pockets, while threatening him with a red-handled penknife.

The gang took his wallet, but it was later found by a member of the public who handed in to police.

All four youths were in their late teens.

One was black, about 6ft tall and wearing a red cap, a black hooded top with a small logo in the left corner and black bottoms.

Two of the others were either black or mixed race. The fourth was white.
