A rogue motorist caused thousands of pounds damage to this parked car in Skelmanthorpe.

The damage happened at Haigh Road on Easter Sunday after Thomas Littlewood parked his Seat Ibiza to visit family.

His daughter Rachel Blackley said: “My father parked his car behind mine and had come over for Sunday lunch with me and my husband. I went out to get some milk at 3.30pm and saw the wing mirror was knocked and went over and found there were dents all over and many scratches.

“We didn’t hear any noise inside but something has struck it with some force.

“We have told the police and they are looking for a blue Ford Focus 2008 model which was spotted going up Station Road.

“The insurance company have said my father will have to pay £250 excess and we are waiting for it to be collected.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
