FOUR lay members of the Church of England are being sought to represent Wakefield Diocese in the General Synod.

The General Synod is the C of E’s national ‘parliament’ and decisions made by the Synod affect the way the congregation worship and how money is spent.

Prospective members would need to be able to give up about 10 days a year over the next five years.

Their role would be to represent the views of Wakefield diocese, which encompasses Huddersfield’s churches, in decisions that affect the whole Church of England.
