MONDAY was a day for miracles in Cardiff.

First, Huddersfield won promotion to the Second Division and then a good Samaritan picked stunned Town fan Darren Morgan out of the vast crowd leaving the Millennium Stadium to return his lost wallet.

Amazingly, the stranger and fellow Terriers supporter recognised the 41-year-old from his driving licence photo.

Darren, of Newsome, was leaving the match along with the mass of 23,000 other jubilant supporters when he unknowingly dropped his wallet.

"I had been buying some banners and lost my wallet in all of those thousands of fans," explained the dad-of-two who travelled down to the match with his sons Simon, aged 14 and Rory, 10.

It contained £90 as well as all his bankers cards - and the vital photo.

As he was wandering through the crowd he was approached by a fellow female fan.

"She recognised me from my driving licence photo and said `Darren Morgan, I've got something for you'.

"I just thought it was magical."

Darren wanted to say a big thankyou to the kind-hearted fan.

"She made my play-off day complete!"
