GREETLAND pop star Nikk Mager's band Phixx have entered the charts at number 12 with their third single.
The band's version of Wild Boys, a cover of the Duran Duran 1980s' classic, went on sale last week.
Nikk, 19, said it had a more rocky feel than the band's first two songs, Hold On Me and Love Revolution.
The band's first single reached number 10 in the charts last October and Love Revolution got to 13 in March.
Nikk said: "The style has worked well for us. It has set us apart and really got a good reaction."
Former Huddersfield Grammar School pupil Nikk formed Phixx last year with Andrew Kinlochan, Mikey Green, Chris Park and Peter Smith. All had competed in TV show Popstars: The Rivals.
Phixx will be a support act for Blue at the McAlpine Stadium on Saturday, July 31.
