A TEENAGE boy was thumped by thieves who stole his mobile phone ... and then threw it at him in disgust.

The attackers were unhappy it wasn't the latest gadget.

They followed the 14-year-old victim as he walked from McDonald's on Leeds Road towards Huddersfield town centre before dragging him into an alleyway near the Currys electrical store at 6.30pm yesterday.

The victim, who comes from Lindley, was punched a couple of times by his teenage attackers who grabbed his mobile phone.

When they realised it was an older model they chucked it back at him. Both attackers are aged about 14.

One is African-Caribbean. He wore a light grey jumper, a hooded top with a Nike tick on it and black tracksuit bottoms.

The other is white and tubby with broad shoulders and a pierced right eyebrow.

He wore a dark jumper-style hooded top and Nike trainers.
