A PHOTOGRAPHER plans to run his studio from a former public loo in Newsome.

Andy Sutcliffe, who runs a commercial photography business with wife Gill, hopes to take over the premises next month.

Builders are currently converting the former public conveniences in Newsome Road into a light, bright studio.

Mr Sutcliffe, who has been a photographer for eight years, said: “We had been looking for premises. When we saw the old toilets, we thought we could do something with them.

“The architect wanted us to pull them down but I thought it would good to incorporate some of the existing building in the new design and that is what we have done.

“We hope the work will be done so we can move in to the studio next month”.
