THIS amazing sunset was the perfect end to a week of topsy-turvy weather.

It was captured by David Lawton, from Meltham, on Sunday evening.

Temperatures in Huddersfield soared to the mid-60s Fahrenheit on Saturday, but cooled later on Sunday – yet were still way up on a cold Easter weekend just seven days earlier. Winter had switched to summer in just seven days.

David said: “The view is looking west across Wessenden Valley with West Nab to the right.

“I took the photograph with a Pentax K200D and none of my work is digitally enhanced.’’

David, 52, frames his photographs and now has an exhibition of his work at Plush soft furnishings on Lidget Street in Lindley.

He has previously exhibited at Meltham Art Exhibition where he sold all his exhibits.
