EDDIE Unsworth has a job with Kirklees Council which keeps him out and about.

It’s a great way of picking up ideas for his hobby which is photography.

For as Eddie, who lives in Golcar, works with a team keeping our streets clean, he often spots a building or a view that he might just want to return to with his camera.

“I’ve been taking photographs for two or three years now,” said Eddie.

“I’m self-taught and I’m using a Lumix digital camera. It’s great now that I’ve got used to it and know what all the buttons are for!

“I take loads of pictures then weed out the best ones. I take all kinds of pictures. It’s anything that catches my eye really.

“You find things to photograph in all walks of life and nature offers all sorts of ideas.

“I’ve learned really from my mistakes.”

Eddie submitted this picture of a bee busy on a hardy geranium.

“I was sitting out in the garden when I heard this buzzing behind my chair,” said Eddie. “I spotted this bee and thought it might make a good picture.”

So if, like Eddie, your eye has been caught by a sunny face, a community event or a beautiful building, then send in those images too.

We are always keen to celebrate the town’s achievements, its spirit and its people. So get out the camera and share your view of what makes Huddersfield so special.
