OAKES man Phil Woodhead captured the town from high.

Mr Woodhead was flying over Huddersfield into Manchester Airport after returning from Sweden when he spotted a familiar sight out of the window.

The blue of the Galpharm Stadium can be seen in the middle of the photograph, with the edge of Castle Hill on the bottom of the snap.

Industrial areas along Leeds Road are captured together with the greenery which helps to maintain the character of a town and distinct districts and villages.

If your eye has been caught by a sunny face, a community event or a beautiful building, then send in those images to us.

We are always keen to celebrate the town’s achievements, its spirit and its people.

So get out the camera and share your view of what makes Huddersfield so special.
