THE sun is setting on another winter – we hope!
This photograph of the end of the day at Sparth Reservoir near Marsden was taken by Robert Bray, who lives in the village.
He said: “My son is two and we were at a second birthday party when I noticed the sun setting so I thought I’d just pop out and see what I could get ... and this was the result.’’
Robert is weaving supervisor at Bradbury Contract Fabrics, based in Britannia Mills at the bottom of Crosland Moor.
Over the last year the 39-year-old has become increasingly interested in photography and now has his own Flickr account.
And a two-month exhibition – simply called 12 and featuring a dozen of his favourite photographs – is now on show in the lounge at a Month Of Sundaes coffee shop and ice-cream parlour on Peel Street in Marsden.
The exhibition began at the start of March and finishes at the end of April when it may move to Uppermill near Saddleworth.
Robert is married to Sarah and the couple have a two-year-old son, Isaac.
We always need more entries for Picture Of The Week.
Anything that captures Huddersfield’s heritage or its people at work or play would be great.
