BEAUTY salon staff got in the pink to raise money to help cancer sufferers.

The team at Halo Hair and Beauty in Paddock got dolled up as part of their fundraising day to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The event was just one of many activities they are holding this month to help the charity, which is the UK’s leading provider of breast cancer information and support.

They are also offering one customer the chance to win a head-to-toe makeover, worth £130. Tickets for the raffle, which cost £5 are available at the Church Street salon until the end of the month.

In addition anyone can call into the salon to purchase a £1 tombola ticket, where prizes range from a cut and blow dry, back massages, manicures and a range of gifts. Staff will also be wearing fancy dress throughout the month.

Sadie Lancaster, who owns the salon, said: “Breast cancer is a cause very close to people’s hearts. Every contribution makes a difference and funds raised will go towards ensuring that Breakthrough Breast Cancer can continue to offer vital support to women and men with breast cancer, their families and friends.

“I am thrilled with the donations and definitely want to keep supporting the appeal in whatever way possible. A huge thank you to all the Halo staff and clients who have been involved in donating funds to help us achieve our goal of raising as much money as possible for this fantastic charity.”
