A SKI holiday is among the prizes at a major charity event this week.
Netherton-based haulage firm The Pink Link is hosting its bi-annual extravaganza, Pink October.
The 12-hour fundraising event aims to raise many thousands of pounds for good causes including Huddersfield Cancer Clinic Fund, The Anthony Nolan Trust, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and testicular cancer charity Everyman.
A charity auction will feature prizes worth more than £10,000, including the ski trip.
The event, to be held on Saturday at the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top, will also include raffles, food and live music.
The Pink Link, based at Netherton, has raised more than £50,000 for charity during recent years.
Pink October is a bi-annual event aimed at raising as much as possible for The Pink Link’s chosen charities.
Company director Vicki Davenport said: “Previous guests convinced us to hold this year’s Pink October event despite the current economic climate.
“It soon became apparent that a day full of fun and indulgence would be the perfect antidote.”
